Cadet College Khairpur
CCkhp Campus quasi -military boarding institution, spread over 116 Acre of land, is situated on the Khairpur-Ahmedpur road about 2 kms from Khairpur Mir’s Shah Hussain Bypass (National Highway). Khairpur Mir’s city is about 9 kms away from the campus. Scheme for establishment of CCkhp was conceived and approved by Chief Minister Sindh in December, 2011 with the aim to prepare local youth for joining Armed Forces as commissioned officers and other elite services in the country. After necessary formalities, foundation stone of CCkhp was laid in January 2017 and construction work started accordingly. After creating necessary infrastructure, first batch of 60 x cadets in class VIII was inducted in July 2019.
Today, the College houses about 300 x cadets, who are selected in a batch of nearly 60 x cadets from 8th grade after qualifying the written examination and interview. The training is oriented to prepare the cadets for the Armed Forces, but they are at liberty to pursue any career of their choice. The CCkhp aim to shape today’s cadets into 21st Century Global Leaders in their chosen fields of influence and empowering these brilliant minds through holistic education, developing passion among them for embracing challenges, thereby maximizing individuals’ potential and fostering positive societal impact.
CCKhp facilities include Academic Block with state of art class rooms, laboratories and a beautiful library. Cadets are accommodated in 2 x Hostels Buildings with 4 x Houses, namely, Jinnah, Iqbal, Shahbaz and Shachal. There is a dedicated central mess facility for cadets, sports grounds / playing fields, cafeteria, dispensary, shopping mall and other facilities
